Chocolate Chip Cookies

A healthy alternative to the chocolate chip cookie.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl add whole wheat pastry flour, salt and baking powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, add apple sauce, egg whites, sweetener and vanilla extract. Mix together.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the pastry flour, and then mix them together (You may have to add a little water).
  5. After the cookie dough is combined, add the unsweetened carob chips and mix.
  6. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray and form about 9 cookies on the sheet.
  7. Cook in oven for 8 minutes.

These were AWEFUL. It was like half cooked pizza dough with chocolate chips. I couldn't even swallow it.
