Pecan Crusted Pork Chops

Delightful nutty baked pork chops.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Trim fat off pork chops.
  2. Combine pecans and parmesan cheese.
  3. Dip chops in egg whites.
  4. Roll in pecan cheese mix.
  5. Place on sprayed 9x13" pan.
  6. Lightly place tin foil over chops.
  7. Bake at 375 °F (190 °C) for 35 minutes.
  8. Remove foil and bake 5-10 minutes more. Serve.

I didn't really like this recipe. THe family love it though. The pecans added a nice taste and crunch to the pork chop but the cheese gave it a somewhat sour taste. I used thin cut pork chops to cut some of the calories. I'll make this again for the family but I think I'll have a salad that night!

I cooked this recipe for lunch today and it was delicious thank you for posting this recipe. I believe that this recipe fits the phase 1 southbeach diet.

This is VERY similar to an oven fried chicken recip I do (can be used for fish too as long as you are careful with cook times) You can also use olive oil instead of the egg mixture if you prefer!
