Thank you Big Boy Optimus. It has been trial and error when it comes to diet. I have had to adapt my diet to suit my lifestyle and health issues. Remember, firstly that no 2 people are the same, but this is what worked for me. I follow a high protein - low carb diet. But I have found that I have to rely on getting my carbs from my veg and oats. If I eat any processed carbs, my weight does not budge. At the beginning of the year I followed carb cycling (3 low carb days - 1 high carb day), But find this more sustainable. Breakfast: 4 egg whites, Oats & Cinnamon (blended into a smoothie) Snack: Whey protein in Fat Free yogurt (frozen) Lunch: Salad (my favorite is spinach (raw), butternut (steamed), chicken, mushrooms & feta) Snack: Tuna Salad Dinner: Either Hake & salad or an Egg white Omelet with mushrooms, spinach & feta I was having almonds at snack time too, but found they affected my concentration. I gym 5 mornings a week - which is a huge contributor. I do a variety of workouts: Pilates, HIIT, Yoga, Bootcamp, Zumba, Taibo. My body if constantly left guessing. I hope this does help some of you - I still cant believe that it is me in the photo (can't believe I was that fat, and cant believe I look so good now)

I try very hard to eat between 1200 & 1500 cal (don't always get there as I enjoy low cal veg like spinach and celery) Protein: 50%, Carbs: 30%, Fat 20%

Amazing and motivational journey :) The key to success is to find the method that is effective but sustainable to the individual so that if followed over time, the results will come too and you have proven that just like myself and others here on FatSecret. I share your delight in looking at my pics and being in awe of the results I see in myself. Keep it up and stay motivated :)

Thank you everyone. I was told something very profound on the weekend. When we hear the words "Body Building" we automatically think of competition ready muscle machines. When in actual fact, if you are trying to change the shape of your body, you are Body Building. It is a hard core diet, but you are not depriving your body of anything. I have my cheats (and pay for them on the scale). Through this I have discovered that I have a gluten allergy - only because I have been so long without it, I can now recognize it. Some foods are poisoning you, and you will never know until you eliminate them.
