Jade I have been following you for a long time and I know how hard it is to gain weight when you try so hard. I have the same problem and the mental toll of it is exhausting. I know everybody is different and you have expressed before that you don’t want to cut our whole food groups, but I was literally the same as you until I finally accepted my body doesn’t process carbs. I also went from 90 up to eventually 112kgs eating ‘healthy and balanced’ all the way and exercising every day. It’s just the absolute worst😞

❤️❤️❤️ I honestly know how horrible it is. When you try so hard and go up! It just ruins my whole mind space.

Hi 👋 please do not give up. Please. Do not “do stuff you hate” find something you like to do. But, if you are willing to learn a new habit combine a good habit with that you want to learn. If, no, when you find yourself thinking demotivating thoughts, say to yourself: “No! It is just a thought!” Take a nice deep breath and remember why you are on this journey, ok? Are you feeling okay though? Highly emotional situation and lack of sleep is also a factor in weight gain. Assign yourself a set time before any variable changes to weigh yourself, like me I wake at 5-ish and it’s straight on my scale EVERY DAY and then the rest follows… You will see it go up and down AND IT IS OK 👌REALLY OK. Also, make sure you drink plenty of water as this help flush out your body of toxins, and that you eat enough. Don’t starve yourself. EAT. It’s a good thing. Just think also why you eat certain things ok. This was something I am very mindful of now. Hope it helps Feel better soon🌸🌸🌸🌸

Some of the things that have helped me on this road- again definitely not saying it’s for everybody just for me it has worked because I also love good food and Baking and I hate being the one eating just a salad when everybody else is enjoying nice big balanced portions especially for me being a mom of 4 I need to set a good example! And I have managed this lifestyle for 3 years now- my three year ‘anniversary’ is in December. So each month I buy myself 1-2 packs of low carb wraps that I freeze. This means 5-10 meals I can have a wrap with chicken or meat or salad etc. I find where they are cheapest and sometimes PnP gives me R5 off on my smart shopper or they have buy 2 packs for R70 I buy one packet of Caring Candies sugar free sweets (it’s about 25 sweets so one per day) R30 at food lovers I buy some seed crackers from clicks on 3 for 2. I love these. I found a restaurant that sells low carb cheesecake and every 3-4 months I treat myself to a slice. For birthdays or special occasions I buy the Checkers Banting revolution brownies (R45 for 5 and I freeze them) Then I have decided ‘treat’ days on my children and husbands birthday I enjoy one large guilt free slice of their birthday cake. My weight loss is slow but for me to be even going down it’s a miracle after a decade of struggling. I also have thyroid disease called Hashimotos.

Hi Jade I just think if you eat a soup or salad before !!!! (And this is my point !! ) you eat a Small cup full portion of Mac and cheese once a week you may find you are setting yourself in gear to Weight loss ! Do not deprive yourself from all Carbs . Have that Carb meal and watch the rest of the week . Oh , and stop weighing yourself to much . Put on a shirt that really sit tight or pair of jeans . Fit this on ONCE a month and see how you shrink in it . Also remember the water 2 L a day not less . Remember you probably took 2 years to put weight on . There is no fast permanent way … you need two years to get rid of that weight . You are in control . Drive that fat loss car like a F1 Verstappen 😀

I know it can feel disheartening at times but don't let it get you down. There are many things that can affect how you weigh and it isn't always that you've eaten badly. For example, if I eat a meal with lots of carbs, even if I stick to my calories, I weigh heavier for at least 2 days. It's just water. Weigh again a few days later and it's gone.

My advice don't life for the scale reading rather take measurements and see how your clothes fit much better for your mental health and motivation.
