I think I'm finding something else that works for me. I read 2 interesting articles on the idea of limiting fat intake while on banting/lchf. The basic idea is that if you're very overweight (I can stamd to lose 25-30 kgs) then your body is the "high fat" part of "low carb high fat" 😂 add to that the idea of leptin resistance- which can caise your appetite to stay high even when eating a lot of fat (the opposite occurs in a normal leptin sensitive person)
I know I feel terrible on a high carb low fat diet. i always have, lomg before banting became fashionable. I feel great when I eat low carb. But I never lose weight. banting or no banting;)

That makes sense if you really are in ketosis. Otherwise you will feel terrible. You should also seek to eat substantial amounts of protein in that case, to avoid losing muscle mass at the same time.

Thanks! I am currently aiming for 1g protein/kg body mass- do you think that is sufficient?
