Just an update for myself. Did a really good 60 min strength workout on Saturday so that takes my total for the week to 130 mins. Would like to get that to 150, but 3 times a week is still good. Daily average calories came to 1720 so I'm happy with that too although I was aiming for 1680. Will try again this week.

My sister said something yesterday that triggered me. She said 'No one's losing weight in this house - that's not possible' referring to all the baked goods always around. Well, that's just a challenge for me so I'm determined to get back below my goal weight again and try to get to 63.5kg and maintain it before December. And I'm not giving up my (smaller) share of all the good stuff either - having chocolate cake yesterday and today, but as long as it's logged and counted it's all good!

I'm sorry your sister made that negative comment, but it does go to show that there is a lot of ignorance about how weight loss and a healthy lifestyle can work, even with balance and treats. nothing is impossible, and moderation and consistency are key.

So true Shereen! Unfortunately my sister equates dieting with being hungry and I don't think she wants to put in the effort of counting calories. Fortunately for me I find everything I do so worth it and rewarding to see the results and feel so much better than I did when overweight. And it's not a diet - it's a lifestyle, yes!
