The way I keep cravings at bay, is to stay away from everything that triggers the cravings. So I don’t cheat on sweets and breads, basically all refined carbs/baked goods: If I decide to have a high calorie day I just up my fats and protein. I Drink lots of water and black tea to take away the hunger. Eventually the cravings will go away. As soon as I give in to anything sweet, I’m back to square one. But that’s just me. Others allow themselves a small little treat everyday. Like a block of chocolate or something. I for one can’t do that. I rather abstain completely. The right way is what works for you.

I don't have a huge sweet tooth but I do love opening and closing the fridge... you know... just in case... so something that I do regularly when I get into a snacking mood is brush my teeth straight after I eat (mostly after dinner time when I start looking for snacks). brushing my teeth is the equivalent of closing the shop for the night..

I snack a lot on carrots 🥕 that helps, stopped sugar except in juices, eat lots of lettuce 🥬 and cucumber 🥒, as well a meat 🍖, I’ve almost completely on carbs except for natural ones like sweet potatoes 🍠

Don't buy krap food and stay away from temptations. Write down everything that goes into your mouth and at the end of the day you will see what you've eaten. Eat healthy snacks like sprouts. If your diet is right you won't want to snack. Sometimes it's just a habit like smoking. You can also snack on raw cabbage leaves - works wonders and don't eat after 6pm

I do intermittent fasting, it limits the time you are allowed to consume calories and gives you a fasting goal to focus on instead of focusing on eating very little! it has been working well for me!

Try a plant based whole food diet. There is a lot of info about it on Youtube. It is super effective, you never have to be hungry, you don't even have to keep track of how much you are eating, and it is very good for your health...

Khadijahadams, eat starchy foods with fats and protein together. You will gain weight fast. Breakfast you can have eggs fried in butter with toast. French toast with sugar added will make you gain weight very fast. Lunch have sweet potatoes with butter or olive oil, and a protein. In between have a fruit shakes or protein shakes. Dinner have pasta or rice with creamy sauces and a protein of your choice. Eat buttered popcorn. Good luck❣️

For me that works for my cravings and hunger pangs is LOTS OF WATER.... it really helps me a lot.... keeps me full and craving free....

Coffee helps me curb my appetite. It fills that "empty spot" and a hot beverage is comforting. If that doesn't help I drink A LOT of water to make me feel full. if I start craving things, I try to distract myself from food completely. In my case I am often bored, stressed or both, so I try to "find something to do" to distract me . Food is often NOT THE PROBLEM, but the relationship you have with food. Food has become my comfort and I have to figure out how to fulfill these "emotional needs" with something other than food.

Keep a bottle of room temp water with lemon slices with you throughout the day. Often our brains confuse hunger with thirst. While caffeine helps curb cravings, it dehydrates you terribly. Ironically, the 2 litre rule is incorrect. Your water intake should depend on your weight and activity level. So, at 64kgs now with 30 minutes exercise daily, I need approx 3 litres of water. AND, for every cup of coffee or tea (excl. rooibos) I need to add an equal quantity of water. Long story short: we are all terribly dehydrated and none of our body processes work correctly without water. Stay hydrated and you'll find the weight loss and cravings under control.

Drink when you are thirsty, don’t try to push down water when you aren’t thirsty. When you eat a lot of carbs, it helps to drink more water. If you don’t eat a lot of carbs, and you drink too much water and start peeing every 5 mins you end up flushing out electrolytes, and you do more harm than good. I've been able to keep my cravings under control since I've started using Herbalife and following the mealplan. You also consume all the right nutrients which is important for controlling cravings.
