Nikina70's Journal, 27 Mar 20

Happy to be maintaining for my first week at goal weight, but who knows how long that will last. Would be great to keep it up so for now I will try to keep my average daily calories to 1750 or below, do 120 minutes of YouTube workouts a week (which I did this week), as well as 20 incline pushups and 20 tricep dips 2-3 times a week. We don't do those all at once - we do 4 sets of 5 reps each.

It is so strange that I usually work from home, but this lockdown feels so different than normal daily life for some reason. Just the fact that the choice to go out has been taken away is a bit distressing. I was totally content not seeing a single person for a week at a time before, but now that I don't have that option it just feels so strange. But, on the brighter side, friends and family that we often don't talk to for months at a time have checked in with video chats and messages so that's great.

Work has gotten quiet for me so I'm trying to think of other projects to keep busy instead of just watching YouTube all day so I've made a list of all sorts of arbitrary projects including even stuff like washing and vaccuuming the car and some gardening projects so hopefully will knock those off in these three weeks starting on Monday. I could also start on a new website for my business, but I know that takes so much concentration, but will try to see it as a fun project rather than a chore and hopefully get that started too.

Have a great weekend everyone! And I think it was Chrisw77 who said this week and I thought was very apt - and hope he doesn't mind me using as well - May the odds be ever in your favour!

Thanks Chrisw77! Yes, I know it's from Hunger Games, but in the context of this week it says it all! You put it so well and I totally agree with you about appreciating what we take for granted once this is all over. I just hope that everyone else stays put too so we can flatten the curve and don't have to extend for too long or do this again. Thanks for your comments! Keep well!
