I couldn’t afford Ketone sticks for a few months, after using them consistently for 3 years. I got some yesterday and it was nice and reassuring to see purple again- glad that I was able to be consistent the past while without them 👏

For me- measuring my ketone levels helps me stay compliant because it shows I am in Ketosis. (I follow a low carb diet). If I cheat, with a few bites here and there of non-low carb food, I immediately go out of ketosis. And sometimes it takes 2-3 days to get back ‘into Ketosis’. For me this is motivation not to deviate off my plan and I think keto is one way of eating where you can’t afford to do that. If you eat low carb and you suddenly eat carbs- all the fat you have been eating will get stored😉 Also at the beginning it helped me see which foods were ok for me and which ones were not- I know now I can afford to eat 30-50g a day of carbs and stay in Ketosis which is more than average but it means I’m free to enjoy all the greens I want, some berries here and there etc, and still stay on track ☺️
