Good morning FS Fam...

Recap of my day yesterday for the challenge that we are partaking in with @Richard Steenkamp & @Coco1978M.

As most of you know, I do OMAD. So last night I had T-Bone steak & some roasted veggies. My total calories for the day ended up at 1002 kcal. This is also day 3 without alcohol (wine).

I walked my 2 km's lunch time & also did 4 km's after work. My total steps for the day ended at 20400. My weight is also down with 100 gr from yesterday, which brings me to 83.3 kg.

Tomorrow I will be doing an official weigh-in.
Happy Thursday everyone.

Morning beautiful! You did awesome! I am also sticking to OMAD. Seems to work well for me. You and Richard get in so many steps. I stopped tracking steps because my pedometer is a piece of sh!t :( If I lift my arm it counts it as a step, so I need to get a better one. I miss the wine..... hope it gets better with time LOL it is like my mouth is in mourning :(

LOL... @Coco. I also miss the wine, but have realized that it makes me feel like shit, I sleep bad and then the next day I'm in a foul mood. My watch counts steps while I'm driving, none of them are really 100% accurate. May you have a wonderful day.

I have the opposite issue with my watch.... a friend with a Fitbit and I with my Garmin have found that on a 10km walk she gets around 2000 steps more than me. Mine doesn't count anything when I'm in the car. At least I know that every step I've got at the end of the day was a well earned step 🤣

I just drive to work & back which is a 5 minute drive, so the steps it counts while driving is negligible.

I've tested an apple watch after I had two other watches (a fitbit and a Polaroid, and they did similar, though nothing as ridiculous as even counting while driving), I have tried waving my arms, even standing still, and the apple watch doesn't count extra steps. I would definitely not trust it if its even counting while driving, that's like how I used to guesstimate my portion sizes but didn't have a kitchen scale - nah, I live by my kitchen scale now, because the guess was way wrong. I think if you know it's counting even while driving then you know it isn't accurate because (like my previous ones) then it's also even counting when you sitting at your desk moving your arm

@WaistAway I agree with you. That was why I'd got rid of my old Fitbit. I was spending too much time trying to remove the invalid steps. I'm far happier having the strict Garmin. I don't need to brag about doing 10k steps a day if I've sat on the idt for 45mins of cardio. Also, having a couple of autoimmune disorders (hashimotos and rheumatoid arthritis) I have to take proper rest days. Having the strict and accurate tracker helps me prove to the Dr that I'm not overdoing things if I have a flare up

@Tess-cat, I have a VERY active job, so I don't brag about my steps, I do actually walk 6 km every day, 2 km during lunch & 4 km after work on top of the steps I do at work. Counting steps is just a bonus for me. I don't live by that number. With that being said, I am actually shopping for a new watch. I've had my Samsung Gear 3 for 3 years now, but I want something else. Which Garmin watch do you have?

@Leksie You're a LEGEND well done. That's a serious amount of steps. You're doing so so well.

@leksie I've got the forerunner 35. Nothing drastically fancy, but gives a map of your route on outdoor activities, with elevation. I can track all sorts of health stats as well as my activities. Also, despite having a narrow wrist, it isn't too bulky.
