Try combining IF 16:8 with HIIT with metabolism confusion tricks like alternating carb days on a mainly keto diet

Just keep going. If what you're doing used to work for you, it will work again. I keep on hitting a plateau every 2kg lost or so.. I feel like I've been at 68 for a year now but I was stuck for only a month or so.. finally breached the 68 mark. Just do what you do and be honest with yourself. If you stick to your eating plan, you will lose

if you've only been on a plateau for a week to two weeks then consistency is key. if you're getting gatvol and hitting the 1 month + range then it really helps to raise your calorie intake for a few days. you don't have to go nuts, but a few hundred extra will give your body a decent kick start. also remember that a plateau is a good thing. it gives your body time to adapt to the new changes and to reset to a new normal... you'll learn not to hate them. I have a 6-10 week plateau roughly every 8kgs.

i hit my plateau at 6 kg lost. still stuck 2 weeks later so I second for advice. Shereen, your advice will be tried, because through experience I have seen your advice works 90% of the time.

Phatsue, some of my plateaus have stuck for a month at a time. Everyone is different, so it will obviously be different for every person, but try not to look too much into it. I know it's difficult :P but just push through... rather be stuck for a month and then continue than to gain everything back because of frustration

And Shereen's advice is solid. It just depends on how you eat. I personally follow a zigzag diet, so I eat 1000 calories on some days and then 1600 on others to average out at 1300.. so this already helps to not need that metabolism kick as your metabolism never "gets used to" the amount of food you eat. But if you try to stick to the same calories every day, I also have found in the past that eating a bit more will help..

Thank you!! I generally eat just under 1000cals (800-900 cals) a day..this is my second plateau..A day’s food is eg two crackerbreads with 2 scrambled eggs for breaky..caulirice, fish/chicken breast and cherry tomatoes for lunch, 1x crackerbread with marmite snack and then lean protein with assorted veg for supper..eat one avo once a week (1/2) with selected suppers..and add cucumber as a salad with supper..will now add a fruit snack between breaky and lunch and see how it goes..thanks for the advice gals!

No judgement because we all have our own plans and programmes that we follow... But your calorie intake sounds very very low, unless it is something that you are doing on the advice of a doctor. My sister had bariatric surgery and has only about 10% left of her stomach... And 800 calories a day is what she can consume because of her tiny tummy. Our bodies need nutrients and food. Too much or too little are dangerous on both ends. A calorie deficit helps us lose weight, but it doesn't have to be so extreme that you suffer metabolic problems in the long term. ❤️ Please just be safe with whatever program you are on and if you are set on such low calorie intake and haven't spoken to your doctor may I suggest that you do, just so that they can monitor you...

Thank you for the input Shereen..I’ve set my daily goal for 1200 (basing my diet on Sureslim I did years ago and lost weight fast like that) but am almost obsessed about not going over or trying to get just close to it..I was so overweight after the birth of my baby..I am not doing much excercise at the moment because of lockdown and limitations with being at home with my 11 month old daughter (I usually do horse riding and pilates twice a week and personal training 3 times a week) - when I do I up my intake..I am aware that eating too little is detrimental (have had a few incidents where I could feel my body telling me hey..this is not right and I will def try to get closer to 1200 a day..😉
