first time making tofu "bacon"... look. its not bacon... but its not bad.... but its not bacon!

Personally prefer Tofu to Macon... we are trying out alternatives to give my husband a protein option low in saturated fat because he has cholesterol problems.

We got ours from Woolworths. Just be sure to get the right one. I used firm tofu for this recipe. Also replaced the maple syrup with honey. https://yupitsvegan.com/tofu-bacon/ I've used silken tofu, dipped in egg/flour and fried until crispy for stir fry before and it's lovely.
