How do you get to 500 calories, a cup of mince alone is over 500 calories?

It's not a cup of mince... I weigh everything.. for this I estimated about 180 gram of lean mince (but was more like 150gram), it includes the weight of the tomato, onions, mushrooms, peppers etc... Which is just less than 300 cal. The potato is also just under 180gram which is just less than 200cal.

Yup. I bought a scale last year and its changed everything... I have a much better understanding of portion sizes now and a much better relationship with what's on my plate... I hardly ever (like just about never) go back for 2nds like I used to (which I did at almost every meal).
