This week was the first time I've felt the overwhelm of work stress in a new job. I'm taking that as a sign that I've been given more responsibility and am no longer just an observer. Eeck. I almost gave in to some chronic binge eating thoughts on Monday. I'm a notorious secret eater and was on a road trip for work. the first time I've been away from my husband in 6 months and I walked around every shop in the town I was in wanting to buy snacks. I knew that it wasn't just a one snack situation. it would have triggered a long big binge. it's hard to live insidey head sometimes. I don't think people realise how loud that obsessive voice can get. so I full the noise with plugging in my headphones and blasted some old school pay trance and just kept walking until I walked off the craving. it was with me all week but I didn't give in. was honest with my husband and decided to have a weekend break with homemade burgers and crisps... but.. with each other and as a weekend treat so that It didn't become something I guilt spiral about. healthy lifestyle is not just the food we eat but the thoughts we cycle and the truths we share. so I guess this week, what I did well was be honest that I wanted to binge and had the strength of mind not to.

things I've done well this week:
Walked 10000+ steps a day most days since Sunday.
No more crisps in the house. Not to say I haven't had them this week, but I haven't had them every day like it has been for the last two months.
Many more veggies with dinner, not just starch and stews.
Two fruits a day.
vitamins B12 & D to help with managing the mood through this first Northern Hemisphere winter experience.
