You know, I was the hangriest of hangry people you can find. I started out with a plan, I would do only Wednesdays 1 meal a day, and then after 4 weeks, if I was able to get it right, I would change to Tuesdays & Thursdays... Believe it or not, that Wednesday was the best day of my life, I thought of food, for sure, but it was really easy. I didn't get a hunger headache, & I didn't become hangry... It was like a miracle. And I skipped my plan altogether, never having a lunch again at work. This was 2016. The thing is... we are conditioned to eat, breakfast, lunch & dinner... But really, really think about it. The hunter-gatherers, our fore fore fore fathers, I'm pretty sure they didn't have left-over food to eat the next morning. In the afternoons, they were probably out hunting for the evening, they didn't stop to snack, or have lunch. So... where does this thing come from that we HAVE to eat 3 times a day? Maybe from the food companies, to make more money, Sugar & MSG is one of the cheapest additives to put in foods, & they had a lot of it, so they wanted to make a lot of money... That's when they invented breakfast cereal... What do you think will happen to the sugar & food industry if we ALL start eating once a day & keeping it to meats & veg? Anyways, sorry for the long post, it is something that I am very passionate about... Weekends, I have lunch & dinner, there's no way that I can sit at home, & not get hungry. At work it is easy for me, because I don't share an office with other people that eat lunch.

Eating triggers the reward pathway in your brain. Carbs especially release feel good neurotransmitters. You have to figure out if you're eating as a substitute for happiness or to compensate for stress etc and substitute food with other things that make you release endorphins- like exercise or ticking off something on your checklist, going outside and looking at something beautiful, listen to your favourite song. Trick your physiology for long enough and you'll see that you probably weren't hungry in the first place. Comfort is not in food it's in being good to yourself.

green tea dear :) or iced rooibos. you must get plenty of liquids! I wouldn't recommend doing it every day. have 2-3 days where another meal is included and every 7-10 days have a "refuel" day. remember that your body is also really used to sugar and it will take a while for it to stop craving, so you won't always be hangry lol

1 meal a day is not really permanent, i just thought i should try it for the week. i just felt like im inspired in the kitchen, i tried this and that, but i easily get bored. i try new recipes but they only exciting for a moment. i will though try 1 meal a day for 2/3 days and then eat 2 meals on the 4th day. I'm on my 8th week weight loss journey, im still figuring things out - what works, what doesnt, trying this and that, ideas from everyone.

IF is not for everyone some people do great on it and some does not, You need to find what work for you. If you in a calorie deficit and you eating whole not process food and drinking your water you will loose weight. I don't do IF as such but I try to eat no later than 8 in the evenings and then only eat at 10 or 11 that is 15 Hours of fasting right there. Remember you must be consistent in what you do to see results.

Its never easy. But allow yourself to feel hangry and deal with those emotions. I got to a point where I would even make jokes about being snappy when I have not eaten anything or was on a restricted diet. I allowed myself to say what I felt and it made me feel better. Just hang in there and take it a day at a time. Before you know it those days will be a week, month, year and so on.

I can not say that it was seriously a problem for me, I think having enough protein works for me, I don't get cranky.....well no one has complained yet..😉

Its gets better , especially with the fasting, your tummy shrinks , so you dont get as hungry... and you look forward to breaking fast ,so thats something to be joyous about - eating guilt free
