A nice whoosh week. Yay. The Ozempic is really making a difference. I'm doing pretty much exactly what I was doing a month ago, but the difference for me is that the food noise is gone. Do I get hungry? Yes. Do I feel like I need to eat the entire buffet in 5 minutes flat? No. I'm not hanging on by my fingernails to stick with the program. The other change...I eat and after a time I actually feel full. Is this how normal people feel? Not one I've ever experienced before. I cannot thank my endocrinologist at the bariatric clinic enough for adding this to the mix of all of the changes we have made thus far. Still a long journey ahead but I have confidence that finally I can do this. Seeing others here on FS, and the work they've done and are doing is also a great motivator. Thank you guys!

The gym has made a huge difference. Under my still copious amount of fat I can feel a bicep and calf muscles are actually making a regular appearance. My mobility is a thousand times better as many of the abductor/adductor weight exercises have helped break down scar tissue from the surgeries in 2017/2018. My stride length is now normal. I can walk farther...not like many on this forum but there was a time when after 4 months in a wheelchair and non weight bearing, that 600 steps was a major achievement whereas now 8000+ is a regular thing. Am still using the recumbent at the gym as there is enough body mass to potentially degrade my pelvis and implant. My next big goal will be to get to one-derland and start upright cardio machines. Did I mention that I adore the trainer at the gym? He has been so helpful for tailoring exercises for me that are safe for my physical condition. That he's a high energy, young, knowledgeable, cutie patootie doesn't hurt either (does that make me an old lech?) Nah, just appreciative methinks.

This journey has been so different from the very beginning. For the first time in my life I have been transparent about what I weigh including on this forum. It is just a number. I no longer avoid the scale because I'm afraid of what it will show. It is just another tool to guide as to course corrections required. It will need to be part of my lifelong weekly repertoire. There is no shame. Health issues as a motivator (get rid of those dang blood pressure meds) and getting rid of pain is a much greater incentive than to look better ever was. Maybe that outlook is part and parcel of getting grey hair and a few more decades under my belt.

I am grateful to the Universe for giving me the tools, the wonderful support network and space to tackle this lifelong issue once and for all.
