It's a common misconception that IF slows your metabolism. What's more likely happening, is that you're losing muscle mass and so your basal metabolic rate is decreasing (happens with weight loss, unfortunately). To counteract this, best is to do some strength training!☺️

A slow metabolism rate comes with weight loss. When I started, my basal metabolic rate was 1900 calories per day. Now, it’s down to 1700 calories per day. It’s the downside of losing weight. However, you can increase the amount of calories you burn by incorporating exercise into your weekly plan.

I do heavy weight training 4 times a week, I have been fasting for 2 years and its clearly not working for my Endomorph body type. I have been intense weight training for most of my adult life and I have done my research. Fasting and Keto does not work for my body type.

It’s good to hear someone say this!! It was 100% my experience too. There is a lot of science showing long term, daily IF affects the female body more negatively than the male body.

Yas, I read and experience it as well. And all the IF believers don't want to hear it at all. But I literally experience this. Fortunately we can rebuild our metabolism. The body is amazing.

I think it’s also one of those things that shows all our bodies are so unique and one thing will never work for everybody!
