you can do it💪😁 happy with you for your happy news😁 so far this week i had good days and then very bad days🙈 but not giving up seriously want to break the 70's.... it was hard enough to break the 80's especially after the birth of my last born ... but still motivated more than ever and want to get meal replacement shakes into my diet... very filling and delicious and very low in calories...

We just have to remind ourselves that it is a marathon NOT A SPRINT! I get VERY discourage if the losses are small, but remind myself that a loss is better than a GAIN. And even if there is not a loss or gain, at least I am maintaining. That in itself should be a little victory.

Hi Coca, It is a marathon and more important trying to make a lifestyle change when it comes to eating. I have struggled with my weight ever since i was young probably loosing over 150kg. I have changed my outlook on how i diet and it seems to be working i have only lost 20kg in a year but it no longer feels like I am on a diet. What i find helps a lot is focusing on low calorie high dense foods. For example one of my go to foods is 400g of vegetables from woolworths with 100g of chilli con carn and 50g of woolworths cheese sauce this comes to 300 calories and 550g of food keeping me full. I use the vegetables instead of rice. Im not saying that this is what you must eat just an example on how to manipulate your food to keep you full and on track. I also track everything i eat even on the bad days, this allows me to figure out exactly how many calories a day i need to maintain or lose weight. Anyway I hope this help and i wish you all the best for the new year.

@WEZ... thank you so much for taking the time to comment. And I do exactly what you do. Created my own "plan" I know I will be able to sustain in the long term. I have also cut complex carbs from my diet and just like you, try to eat filling meals that makes me full. I am a obsessive calorie counter, so counting calories is what works for me. I love logging things. Researching foods etc etc. So this is the route that works for me. Cutting sugar & complex carbs from my diet. I cant cut carbs all together, because I do love fruit A LOT! So I allow low carb fruits ONCE IN A WHILE... not every day. So far so good. I found a way I KNOW I will be able to stick to. This week I need to work on exercise, now that I have the eating & drinking under control. Going to start with steps. Getting my pedometer tomorrow and have set reasonable goals for myself and work my way up to 10 000 steps a day. xxx
