Philip Botha's Journal, 16 Sep 19

So wasn't a BAD weekend but not as strict as I am during the week... Also had my son with me so it was a relaxed weekend... I'm still down though... So I'm all about the journey on the change to be better... The evolution if you will.... I did notice how little I am eating compared to what I was... We had a HUGE Saturday and I managed to eat Greek salad for dinner instead of a hefty braai.... So that's always a winner.... And no I didn't torture myself... And also Friday I turned down Lamingtons and Milk tart.... And that was due to me not craving them... Not that I made the conscience decision to avoid them... My body just was not interested...
Right now I'm happy with this week and looking forward to the coming week...
And that's all from your Friendly neighborhood Phil

Remember that when you start your dietary change, it can affect your mood as your body and mind is not getting what it considers it's normal treats and rewards. It doesn't like you very much for that and can leave you feeling down. Your attitude is great in that you are looking forward to time ahead where you can continue with your journey - remember to enjoy the view too as the change or evolution as you call it, will happen each day - and it does happen. Every small achievement you have such as saying no thanks to lammingtons / milk tart is a step towards your overall goal of a healthier you. Keep at it Phil. You got this!
