gemmerkoekies's Journal, 18 Oct 18

I haven't been following any diet since Aug 2018 and my weight picked up again to 114kg at the end of Sep 2018.

I visited an endocrinologist on 1 Oct 2018. He changed some of my chronic medication that was stimulating my appetite and prescribed Victoza that I inject every day.

Since the medication changes, my hunger has stopped.

I went on an overseas holiday just now and I ate and tasted all the local cuisines. However I noticed that I could only manage half of my plate. I got fuller much faster and without trying the portions got smaller. I was extremely active. I walked about 10 000 steps a day without even trying.

I lost 5 kg during my overseas holiday without any effort from my side. My appetite disappeared. My hunger is gone. My cravings are gone. I need to force myself to eat a complete and healthy meal.

This is scary.
109 kg Lost so far: 7 kg.    Still to go: 49 kg.    Diet followed: Poorly.

So far the victoza is working great for me. I’m on a 1.2 mg dose every day. I have no hunger or cravings. I have only been on it for 3 weeks now and lost 5 kg so far with no effort. I must say that my eating habits have changed drastically to smaller portions and healthier options. The only side effect I experience thus far is light nausea in the morning.
