Also try lowering your average carb intake

@gabby I have tried everything over the last 6 months from low carb, high fat, and then high protein, and training 5times a week and I just continued to gain weight. I also lowered my calories and try have a higher calorie output... And still nothing. I've gained 7kg this year and I've tried loosing weight but all I did was gain. So now I'm doing the absolute extreme I've lowered my calories to 800 a day, keeping my protein at 120g carbs at 20g fat at 40g. Doing a split of 3days cardio and 3 days weight training. I'm also incorporating IF 16:8, also eliminating all dairy except for when I break my fast in the morning I have a cup of coffee with a little milk.

@Allisa1 OK if you've been properly calculating calories and have been having a calorie defect it may be a medical problem as it's recommended not to continuously eat under 1200 for a long period of time as it damages your metabolism I would say ask someone you know or get assistance from a professional... But remember stay determined & hope i helped😉

Try carb cycling...works wonders
27 Sep 18 by member: narduspotgieter
Thanks to all, will post updates, this is last resort if this doesn't work I'll definitely seek professional advise and get some test done. But before I do that I'm trying this first. Much love in the weight loss world.

Have you even tried carb cycling or keto? You can screw up your metabolism so badly by doing what you are doing that it will take a long time to get it back to normal or better.

I weighed 135kg 2 months ago. I am 115kg and still losing pretty quickly on carb cycling.
27 Sep 18 by member: narduspotgieter
@nardus yes I have like I mentioned before I've tried all the tricks of the trade. This is why this is my last resort and this won't be forever its 4weeks just to shock my system a little, then I'll slowly introduce more carbs. But like I said tried everything if after 4weeks still nothing then I'll have to see a doctor because then there is something wrong. Either insulin resistance, thyroid or something.

Your insulin resistance should have come right or get better with intermittent fasting.

@Allisa please excuse my lack of knowledge, I have been seeing posts about IF 16:8 please share with me if you don't mind.

@ leksie I only started this drastic chance on Monday so I'm only on day 4 with my extreme change including the IF therefore the 4 week benchmark to see if anything changes or if I loose or not.

@ Bontle basically I eat all my calories in an 8 hour space and fast for 16 hours. I break my meals up in space of 2 hours so basically I have 4 meals totalling 800 cals average of 200 cals per meal. I'm also still very new at this and have loads to learn.
