The scale says it, my clothes show it, i hear it from my friends.... but i don’t feel it. When i stand in front of the mirror, i see no difference between me before, and now after 10kg. My mind is still showing me an overweight, unattractive person, still trying to cover up every inch of myself.

Try focus on the positives and small victories like the decision to continue. Sometimes we get too caught up on the negative. Best of luck 🤗

Go to a shoprite, pnp, spar, etc. and look at the 500g blocks of butter. Then tell yourself that u lost 20 of those blocks that u carried around with you. Look at a 10kg pack of rice or sugar. That was also what u carried around with u daily. Now feel proud of yourself and continue your journey :)

It's also important to give yourself positive feedback. Your mind believes what you tell it so if you are negative about yourself and your appearance (as so many of us are) your mind will take that and let is fester. It can take up to 3 months to change that negative view of yourself. you've done the physical hard work but don't forget the mental part of it

I have lost 60kg, I used to weigh 134kg and even after losing ALL that weight I still feel like a big girl sometimes. Some days I look in the mirror and I look really big, even though I haven't gained any weight I try to revert back to hiding myself in big baggy shirts often, but I don't allow myself. At this point it's a fake it 'till you make it. If you keep telling yourself you look great, your mind will eventually give in and follow suit... A healthy mindset is just as important as a healthy body, they work hand in hand.
