Hi everyone

I need some advice please

I have been going to the gym but I'm not losing any weight. What am I doing wrong? We have been going hard at it the last 2 weeks and nothing. Feeling a bit discouraged

I recently started struggling with this. Keep my calories at a maximum of 1000 for the day, eat protein and a green veg prefabley green pepper, and lettuce works best for my body and i lose more having fish as a protein, also increased my intensity and time slightly for my workouts. I finally started losing again. But YOU know what works best for your body so maybe try adjusting certain things and see if it helps you.

I don’t think 2 weeks of gym is sufficient to expect significant weight loss. However, also measure in cm, you might realise you are losing fat and gaining muscle

Incorporating wieght training or resistance training can increase muscle mass. More muscle mean you have a higher basal Metabolic rate. Keep at it and give your body time. If you are in a caloric deficit you will definitely see results soon.

Hi everyone. Thank you so much for your feedback. Been going tot the gym since December. Have been losing some cms but not a lot. I am keeping to a calorie deficit. Just wondered as it is my first time doing this while going to the gym as I previously lost but didn't exercise

Hi, reason for the weight loss while not exercising is due to losing muscle mass as well. Resistance training + calorie deficit will seem slow because you are building muscle and losing fat. That is want you want. Takes some time, but a whole lot better in the long run.

Agree with everyone below :) the fact that you’re going to gym must mean that you somewhere read something about muscle mass helping weight loss, and that’s because you burn more calories at rest which allows you to drop weight and keep weight off. Give it time :)

It’s possible you are gaining muscle at the gym. Muscle is heavier than fat but a lot more healthy. Well done! Don’t stop now.

calorie counting is easy and way more effective than gym for losing weight imo (i am no expert, but lost almost 30 kgs in a few months)... you will see a difference in the scale in 2 weeks if you consistently stay below your deficit.

If you don't lose weight for 2 weeks, lower your deficit by 250cal but keep your exercise level the same.
