Great hike this morning but we did get rained on.

Beautiful! I'm assuming you were prepared for the rain. I've always loved walking in the rain.

I track the miles but nothing else.

the poppies are really starting to po up. The other flowers will come more to the end of March and into April. We are hoping for another super bloom year.

I have hiking boots that are specific to mud and creek crossings, and others for scrambling, but for this kind of hiking I just use my regular ones.

Looks like a really nice trail. The trails here are so rocky and narrow, that it can be dangerous.

This area encompasses thousands of acres of land just like this , in a heavily urban area that has been set aside for public use but these well maintained trails also act as fire access and fire breaks and they do burn periodically.
