Oh no! Hope you feel better soon!!! I am so jealous of you visiting home. Due to some family circumstances I've not been back for two years this May and I miss it so much! Might try to go back early next year.

Ah Nikina I am sorry to hear that. Two years is a long time. We've only been here 7 months and that long enough to need to reconnect. Both our mums are in their late 70s so we're hoping to go back every year to visit them. It's going to be a bumper two week trip so you can be sure my food journal is going to full of colourful braai time delights X

Aah, yes! I'm glad you're able to visit both your mums every year! I do miss family most, but also the light and sunshine. I'm dying to walk from Muizenberg to Kalk Bay again and grab a pastry and coffee at the Olympia Bakery. And the lovely brekkie or vegetarian lasagne at Ohana Cafe. I'll be looking forward to your scenery pics more than anything, but enjoy your braai and kuier time! xxx

I actually scheduled in that Muizies walk for pastries with my friends this morning. Along with a kayak in Simonstown harbour. Will definitely upload scenery shots for you!!!
