Just venting 😁. Please scroll on. Anyway, sigh, I am just venting my frustration here, so I don't end up binging later. Last night I was already feeling the munchies creep up on me. You see, my weight has been fluctuating between 69.3 and 68.9 for the last 11 days, despite having an avarage of a 900 cal deficit. I intermittent fast (16:8) on most days. And have tried to calorie cycle between some lower and then higher calorie days.

I know what my mistakes are though. I am not drinking enough water and I am not sleeping enough. It's like every day I tell myself to drink more water, but then I don't. At night I am not sleepy, but during the day I am tired. Lol.

Hmmm typing this out, I think maybe this is a bit of self sabotage. Anyways, let me stop complaining and go drink some water.

Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Thank you for all the support. I managed to survive Friday, binge free! I ate a chicken stir fry and brown rice. And had a good night's rest. I feel 100% better.

Having a deficit larger than 500 cal can cause binge eating.

Check the "quality" of your sleep and stress levels. My Dr said I would not lose weight if these two indicators were off balance, and increasing cortisol production. Cortisol, the primary stress hormone, increases sugars (glucose) in the bloodstream, enhances your brain's use of glucose and increases the availability of substances that repair tissues, all adding to weight gain, or inability to lose weight on a calorie deficit intake.

PS: I am no expert on this, and went for a few sessions of hypnotherapy in Oct/Nov/Dec to manage underlying stress levels. luckily I have a watch that tracks sleep quality. Perhaps try identifying and working hard on your specific non-calorie weight gain indicators, whatever they may be.

Sjoe, BurnItBeamic, thank you. That is very interesting. There is so much more to weight loss and health than what we realise. It truly is a lifestyle change.
