today was an adventure. turns out my friend has a pretty rad job. she is a shipping pilot and parks cargo ships. who knew. i got to hang out in the tuggy today while they were working - even took her for a little spin

That is so cool! I've only ever met one person who used to do that and is now retired. Sounds like a very cool job and must have been a pretty great experience! 👍

It was completely fascinating. I had no idea this job existed. I thought Captains parked their own ships in the harbour.. but it makes so much sense that you'd rather have someone who knows the environment do it, because it's no small thing.
