there's only so much canned tuna a person can handle lol. But it's a versatile ingredient and tastes good done lots of different ways. I do tuna once or twice a week...

Hi Sabdoolah. My meals are generally higher in calories... 500-700 or even 800 a meal... But my daily calories are a total of between 1300-1700 depending on my exercise program for the day. If you want to go low cal on your meals... Lean protein like ostrich,tuna, chicken, eggs and salad and veggies are a good place to start. As soon as you start adding things like fats (olive oil, avo, cheese etc) it bumps up the calories... So clean and simple for low cal.

Thank You Shereen. I’ve just started trying to eat low cal. Also, I’m only meant to eat around 1100 cals based on my height and weight. So I really have to keep my meals low cal. It’s a challenge! 🙈

Also remember tuna is very high in mercury so try not eat it everyday. Another nice low kcal meal to try is rice cakes cottage cheese and cucumber or chicken breast meat with low oil Nola Mayo 1 tbsp is only 46 kcal and you can pair that with cucumber and pop it onto a rice cake. I and J light and crispy portions in the oven with sweet potatoe chips grilled or mixed veg or salad. Butternut and pumpkin are great filling night time veggies too. I love melted mozzarella on rice cakes thats my take on pizza and I eat this often as a lunch or on cracker bread. I keep my cheese white, less calories than cheddar and Gouda.
