Hey Michi! I haven’t experienced cholesterol issues with Keto. I think the key reason for it is that the keto guidelines does not support the intake of “unhealthy” overly processed fats (sugar, carbs, veg oils, margarine, etc.). It also motivates eating healthy unsaturated fats (olive oil, Avos, nuts, etc) and some saturated fats (butter, animal fat, cream, etc.) Read up on this before you start just to help you as best as you can.

AndyPandy, yes, this is all I have, but boy I boy, it makes me feel quite satiated! The science behind keto really speaks about reducing insulin levels and as a byproduct reduce grehlin (hunger hormone - when your tummy grumbles it’s grehlin) and increasing leptin (which is in simple terms the hormone that tells you that you aren’t hungry). This meal including the bullet proof coffee was about 1100 calories... and it met my macros perfectly!

Hi Shema, that is quite a loaded question 🙂 if I may make a bold statement - you can eat any veggies as long as it fits into your macros and calories. However - this of course means that you might only be able to eat a teaspoon of something or a bowl of something else. I would advise to avoid any starchy veggies, like potato, butternut, sweet potato and corn and eat as many green, leafy veggies as possible (broccoli, spinach, salads, beans, etc.) bottom line - work with your macros and calories!

Hey Christie! This is super low carb. The total meal was 14g total carbs and the net carbs were 4 odd grams and the carbs were 6% of my macro nutrients intake.
