CocaLola's Journal, 19 Jan 20

I just wanted to add a collage to my journal of where I was & where I went!

Didn't think that 86kg actually looked good, but looking back at those photos, 86kg looks absolutely wonderful to me right now!!!

Think I can do it before next spring!

Then I have to lose 16kg in 7 months?

That sounds doable?

it's definitely doable. I'm not sure what ur approach is but I do intermittent fasting 20:4 the warriors diet. and I don't eat more than 1200 calories a day, 300bicycle crunches and 60 normal crunches a day. I've only been doing it a week now and lost 2kg so far. see what works for you and your body will adapt

Like I explained in my previous entry, I actually do fast (not intentionally though) I present classes from Tuesday to Saturdays and dont get time to eat and dont actually get hungry either. Then I eat in the evening and I can definitely stay under 1200cal. I am busy watching videos about fasting over 40s as we speak. Going to be a hectic week, so I will definitely fast this week. In my world, it is quite normal. ;)

PS. There are no body shots between 2016 and now. Only head shots. :( Do you blame me. I look like a mini whale :(

I feel with you! When i weighed 86kg's i thought i was fat.... i am on 98.1 now...so now i wish for 86kgs. I started my journey on 102.1 on Chrismas day! But this time, i will be doing it the slow way. No banting, no fasting. just eating right, and excercising. If it take me 2 years, it is ok. i am not picking up more than i lost in a rust, never again.

Hey Belinda, we are in the same weight range. I FEEL YOU TOO! I am not doing the strange diets either anymore. I want to do something I can sustain and I am quite happy to say that what I am doing now, I CAN sustain! I also thought 86kg was disgusting and now looking back at those pics, I think 86kg looked pretty damn good. But I would love to see a 70, so I am aiming for 79kg. I made my goal for 1 September, SPRING! (7 months to lose another 22kg) I am quite tall so I can hide the weight quite well under clothing. But summer time you cannot hide the weight and covering it up is killing me (the Free State heat is not kind) My first goal is to hit double digits by my birthday, 9 Feb! (1.3kg to go) My next goal is the 80s (89kg) for Easter Weekend! >> That makes it 12kg in 12 weeks. I tell myself the same thing, even if you dont lose any thing, at least you dont gain anything either. (Doesnt always work - I want to see the scale moving) Got your back girl!!! :)

I am so upset with myself for slowly slipping back into old bad habits, and have gained 15 kg after promising myself not to do it again.. well back to the drawing board, today day 1 again , ty for sharing, now I know I am not alone ..gives me hope..

I'm so glad that I joined this 12 week challenge and can read and share everyone's journey. I managed a little weight loss this week. Strangely the eating isn't my biggest problem but I'm struggling with drinking. On Friday evening I couldn't resist a glass of whit wine, Saturday I did good but last night I had a sugar free tonic with gin! That may not sound a ot to those who really drink but its enough to stall may weight loss. Like Belinda4W and CocaLola I'm determined to continue no matter how long it takes. I'd also like to see the 80s again, coming in these 12 weeks I hope.

@Jntmrx... I have exactly (or may I now say had) the same problem. But not alcohol, COKE! I have completely cut sodas out of my diet. Think I had two Sprite Zeros this year (This year sound so long hey - lol) When I started I started with STEP 1: No more SODA! Then I add steps as I go along. I have 20 steps now. Silly things like getting up at 7am. Going to bed at 11pm. Being more active around the house. Drinking more water. Etc. Etc. Etc. These steps have created some kind of routine in my life and it really makes me feel good to sit down at night and make a thumbs up next to these silly little steps I have. I plan to have 100 steps for 2020. Every tiny little step is a step FORWARD! No matter how small those steps, ITS MOVING FORWARD! JNTMRX why dont you try not to put on weight for a few weeks? Focus on that goal? I have cut bread, pasta, rice (starch) out of my diet during the week. Saturday is my starch day. I cut out sugar most of the week - but for a spoon sugar in my coffee here and there. Sunday is my sugar treat day. I stay under my 1 200 calories. I wont say that I am exercising, as I dont have the time or energy most days. At this point in time, I am happy with twice a week cardio / 25 minutes each. I am on my feet most of the day. YOU CAN DO IT FLorAnn & Jntmrx!!!!! I didnt think I could. BUT I AM!!!!

We all pick up sometimes! The most important thing, is to take the first step. And we can do this!! I know that everyone always says that you should just take the first step in the right direction, and this first step always seems so uneventful to me because I always feel like I haven't done much of anything, but if you think about it, it's a really brave step to take to face the truth. So I am proud of everyone that can face their truth, whatever it might be, and stand strong and better themselves.

If you make just ONE CHANGE, it is still a change! It is a marathon, not a sprint 💖
