The festive season is over, and from tomorrow it is business as usual. While I was very careful not to overdo it over the holidays, I did fall off the wagon a bit and while I did continue the fitness exercises, it was not enough to avoid the weight gain.
Tomorrow I will start with an egg fast. My friends and my brother are doing it for five days, but, I am going to go day by day and see how it goes. If I don't feel good, I am going to stop.
I would like to achieve my goal weight by April, which would make it a year since I embarked on my LCHF and intermittent fasting lifestyle.

It is my first day back at work after the holidays. I have not gained over the holidays, but neither have I lost. Now comes the push to lose the last 8 kilos.
I have been running in the mornings with my fitness freak son. This is huge for me because I really, really, seriously, really hate running. Yesterday I managed 3 kilometers in 40 minutes. I don't know if I will be able to keep this up once back at work, but I am going to do my best to at least try every second day.
The gyms will be full again from tonight with everyone starting their new year resolutions. I actually cant wait till karate starts next week.

Intermittent fasting really works.
I have indulged and indulged and indulged for the past few weeks with all the parties and social gatherings.
The scale was avoided, but this morning I decided that denial isn't going to get me anywhere. The surprise was very pleasant indeed. I should have put on tens of kilos, but I have not. Each indulgence was preceded by a 20:4 fast and followed immediately with a 20:4 fast.
This is my coping strategy for Christmas and New year.

It was my sons birthday yesterday and some serious damage was done. My friend baked him "death by chocolate" cupcakes. I could not resist. I had three. I felt really sick after. Let that be a lesson to me not to eat junk. I am glad for the drop and needless to say, today is a fast day for me.
