I woke today and I was like oh crap!!
There are only 24 Fridays left in 2019 and still haven't come anywhere close to my fitness and health goals. To be quite honest towards the end of last year I fell off track, I was confronting alot of personal issues and wasn't yet accountable of my current position nor was I willing to take upon the daunting challenge of loosing weight and what sacrifices it would entail. I've had to reevaluate alot and I'm in a very different headspace. Im constantly drawn to the realisation that in life you need help in everything you do. Help gives you structure, help gives you guidence and support but most of all it gives you accountablility. When I first started this journey I thought I knew everything, I thought I could do it by myself but I soon realised that it was an impossible task. long-term weight loss quite frankly is a real journey but the way I view it now is so different then before. I've accepted that it is a everyday ordeal between pleasure and the power of choice but what is so fascinating about it is how much you learn about your mind and your body everyday. I know now that discipline actually comes from continuously evaluating yourself and improving even when you fall hard. Alot has changed since, I'm 3months into boxing and nearly 4weeks into a balanced diet I've only lost 4,4 kilos which isn't alot in comparison to my goal. However I feel so much stronger and more determined. I give credit entirely to the help that I have been receiving from my coach and also my dietician. There is no quick fix or quick solution when comes to weight loss it merely boils down to consistentcy and attitude. Now that I'm receiving help I have a source of guidence and structure I also have people investing in me which means that I have to take accountability of my choices so as to not disappoint them or myself. Im not big on news years resolutions and honestly it's a tad bit late for that anyways. Point is, if there is anything you can gain from this message is, the importance of asking for help even when you are deep in the gutter, it can really change your situation for the better. Ultimately everyday is a new opportunity to evaluate yourself and find new ways to improve!
