I am 60 and joined Fatsecret to track my food journal. I am a Stage 3 cancer survivor and I used to walk 2 miles in 30 minutes 5 days a week. In late 2019 my doctor said that I was pre-diabetic, had bad cholesterol and borderline high blood pressure. He asked me to go do something that made me sweat and he would check all my numbers in 6 months. I joined a strength training gym and I have never lifted a weight in my life except maybe 5# weights at home. I love the program! It is hard but I only work out 3 days a week and follow a macro's plan. I reached my goal weight in 19 months and now my goal is to remain healthy, keep toning and watch what I eat. We are never to old to try something new!
