I'm extending my "virtual" 16/8 intermittent fast to 18/6 simply by taking 2 boiled eggs to work for lunch at 1. The longer you can delay that main meal of the day the better!

Buddy of mine went on this intermittent fast... he said the quickest to get into it... is to do the 1st day hardcore (lots of water.. no food at all for 1st day). 2nd day. eat 2 light meals. Maybe 2eggs boiled on nothing... then like 10hours later (for supper. slightly creamy eggs on 1 slice no-butter toast). Do that for 3 days. This gets you from eating nothing for 1 day (super hungry). To another 3days of 2 light meals. on day 4 you can do full on intermittent fasting. 16-18hours no food. then 2hour eating window for you "diet goal intake, say 2000calories for men. 1500calories for woman"

I run five days a week first thing in the morning without eating or drinking anything. It’s called a “fast” run. Helps your body use fat for fuel instead of what you just ate.

ye... Intermittent fasting would mean you fast 14-18 hours. then have a 2 hour eating window. Your body will cut like crazy. but it's not ideal for people with sugar or heart problems <you do not want to faint mid-day>
