oooh Ann...that looks delicous!! Wish I could learn to use chopsticks but for some reason - I'm all thumbs and/or not co-ordinated enough to get it! Hope that you had an enjoyable Valentine's Day...I went shopping for groceries and electrical bits & bobs ....Fun- WoW! LoL I'm rewiring 2 wall sconces in my living room. They're Circa 1930's so they have an on/off switch at the bottom of the sconce...very hard to find the lightbulb fixture to accomdate that set up. Canadian Tire had them! woohoo We're set to get some snow tomorrow *sad sigh*...I'm just up the highway from you - in Brantford. Take care Ann and be careful tomorrow if we get the snow they're calling for!

Howdy neighbour grammahasachainsaw! I learned to use chopsticks in university. I lived in a house with 11 other girls once of Asian heritage. She taught me. (really helps to slow down the pace of eating too) So you live in a vintage home? Mine was built in 1933. She has her quirks but I do love her. Same issues with the lighting and electrical. Have found some workarounds (like discreet LED rechargeable motion sensor light strips that provide enough light for me to get to a table lamp that I can turn on in the room. Falling in the dark is no longer in my lifeplan. Been there, done that and spent 4 months in hospital/convalescent care as a result.

My parents had Japanese friends....loved them, the Nakajimas. So I played with the chopsticks and got proficient with them. Taught my sons as well. For years we took in Japanese students, there was a contest of pea picking up with all the homestay familie's students and the children. My son at 9 years old came in second. Now that was pretty good!! Considering all the Japanese students of varying ages!!!
