Happy Saturday FS friends

Happy to report that where there was a call for significant rain today, that has now changed to a few showers. So yay....can go outside and play.

I need to figure out how to manage these grey gloomy days better. I'm finding a trend that where on a decent weather day, I'm outside and active. On days like yesterday, I puttered, cleaned, laundered and munched. Therein lies the problem. Snacking too often and with the wrong stuff doesn't fit into my continuing quest to change my WOE permanently.

So, I need to find better replacement behaviours and need to find better coping strategies for the yukky winter months to come. One respite will be the gym for sure, do the program, have a massage in the hydro bed after, and perhaps the odd dose in the tanning bed to combat Seasonal Affective Disorder. Better yet, maybe I should book a trip to somewhere warm in January just to break up what always seems to be eternal winter.

Hmm. Now that's a thought

Over and out

I have a SAD lamp at home and need it due to our gloomy winters.

I don't seem to get as down in the winters these days, but when I did, I had good success with a therapy lamp

tanning beds are hugely bad for your skin and can lead to skin cancer. SAD light works for me. I use it just before I get out of bed or while I'm answering emails.

Thanks Foody. Certainly did. Rain or shine, I adore the personality of the Mighty Niagara River. No two days are the same.

I was in Ottawa prior to coming to Niagara, there the winters were always grey, at least here in Niagara we do get several sunny days and blue skies. But I still miss Alberta winters!
