So I did the fast part of the 36/12 fast thing yesterday, that is supposed to be the best one for weight los, and I hated every second of it! I don’t think my head is there yet. Maybe later on in my weight los journey. I think I’ll just stick to the 16/8 like I have been doing, that is manageable, and not bad at all.

I also didn't have a positive experience after trying it once. However what got me through were flavoured teas and some good sugar free electrolytes. I wouldn't recommend it for those with serious underlying health conditions though since it takes quite a toll of the body if one is not prepared. With that being said; I'd try it again in the future when I'm in better health, fat bombs are recommended by most intermittent fast experts since fat keeps you in ketosis even during the fast, though autophagy may be halted. it's better to do what works best for your own body.

Thank’s so much Relentless! This is some awesome advice! I have diabetes type 2, and I think I should have been better prepared, like with fat bombs, or maybe have done something like an egg fast instead, rather than doing a full on fast. I don’t think the meds I use for my diabetes go well with fasting. I did keep an eye on my blood sugar all day, but I do have other issues too, and I really don’t think that a full fast is for me at this time. You live and you learn! I get over excited about stuff, and then I jump head first. But I will be better prepared next time I try something new. I was hoping it would help with those issues, but I think I am trying to go too fast too soon.

Really good advice there. I will keep that in mind. Just one question, what is "fat boms" ?🫢

Fat bombs are healthy keto snacks prepared with healthy fats such as avocados, nut butters, MCT oil, coconut oil etc. They help regulate blood sugar levels, keep the body in a state of fat burning ketosis, curb hunger during extended fasts and help ease headaches and lethargy.

Thank you for that info. It is very interesting. I didn't know that. I will do a little research on keto and ketosis etc. I was a little sceptic to try the keto diet myself, but maybe in future I will give it a try, after the research 😉

Personally I'm not keen on keto since it's high fat and eliminates all grains and fruit except for berries, avos and tomatoes, I can't live without those food groups even though I lean more towards a high protein low carb plant based diet. Experiment and see what makes you thrive and nourishes your body. We are all different and what's medicine for one might be poison to another.
