Happy Sunday FS friends

Am still knee deep in preparation for guests this week. Sort of, kind of looking forward to it. I suppose if the kids stay away from my dogs all will be well. All three (dogs, not kids) are rescued, 2 are foster failures. One of them suffered severe abuse as a pup, has low self esteem, and has a habit of biting before he is bitten when people reach out to him. No worries, they will be sequestered when the visitors are around, but all visitors will need to comply with the house rules regarding the dogs and our communications as to who is where and when.

I suppose that my furbabies pick up on the fact that I'm not entirely comfortable with strangers and have taken after me in that regard. We live such a quiet, pretty solitary life day to day.

Am planning the food. The visitors want to wing it, but winging it, or having excess amounts of tempting food in the house is outside of my current (and hopefully lifelong) way of eating. So I'm going with lots of fresh fruits and veggies, burgers, roasted chicken, pork souvlaki. For the more junk food side of things, granola bars and other portable individually packed snacks that they can take with them when they go. There has been mention of bagels with cream cheese and ordering in pizza. So many things that I truly love to eat, but again, not on the program. I guess part of my current stress is staying on plan with a multitude of temptations around and a bunch of skinny people that have never ever had weight issues.

Universe, give me strength. I've come so far, am within sight of one-derland and don't want to blow it.
