Asarver's Journal, 13 May 15

This week has already been off to a bad start. I've been gorging myself with food for the past few days. I'm going stir crazy I think. I'm tired of trying to look for a job, and I'm tired of being stuck in the house without much to do. As a result, I eat to make me feel better, but I think it just makes me feel worse.

I go on fatsecret, and I see challenges that are exciting, and I'm like, oh this is so motivating! But then I go back to life and I'm just like eh, I just want to eat. Not really sure what to do to make me feel better. Still running, so that's always good. Anyways, I'm open to suggestions!

Hope everyone's week is going better than mine!

When I stay in the house, like on the weekends, I tend to eat more. My hubby is the opposite, when he's home he can do good, but when he's out of the house he eats junk food. Weird that we can be different, but that's what makes life interesting. :) For me if I'm having a really bad, want to eat everything day I'll go window shopping, take a walk, write, or go outside and pull weeds in my flowers (or my garden when I finally get that done). The winter's are harder for me because I can't get out as much. Also, I'll look up different workouts and healthy eating tips and sometimes just seeing those healthy things makes me think differently about eating junk. I hope you find a job soon! Good luck!!

Sorry about the job thing...it is always a pain. Maybe get out and about and do other things in addition to running - keep moving.

I've had periods like that - without the running. Look for stuff to do in the house. Have you organized your closets lately? That is always a monumental task for me and takes about a week; re-arrange your furniture to give you a new perspective; pare down your kitchen utensils/dishes/pans/dinnerware or generally eliminate the household clutter. Just a thought. Good luck on the job - I know how that is :)

have a look to see if there is anywhere that need volunteering (op shops are fun as you get to see different fashions that come in and out), an animals shelter means you get to cuddle and play with animals etc....this also gives a future employer a chance to see that you work in and are proud to be part of your community
