Hmm...I haven't had any diet sodas in years. Do artificial sweeteners break a fast or screw up carnivore or keto diets? Any info would help.

2handedjam— sorry, I don’t know enough about fasting to even comment. Good GOOGLE question though

Enq1– this is a great research issue for you as well. The current, most used artificial sweetener is Aspartame and it has no redeeming qualities on any level. The new generation of sweeteners (Stevia, Splenda, monk fruit, erythritol are a whole different game. I first started using some of the newer Al artificial sweeteners when I bake because I have sooooo many diabetic, obese friends. Aspertame is the primary AS used in all the diet soda products. From a diabetes perspective it still raises their blood sugar just like regular sugar, these new AS do not. Plus it is a known cancer contributor. Why it is still on the market I have no idea. A soda type drink that is currently using erythritol is called BAI JUICE. it’s ok. To my knowledge 7-up will be the first to say— it’s time to make this change. Apparently COKE and PEPSI will be following suit.
