MissP_Fitmom🥑's Journal, 28 May 19

Hi fellow FS. Please tell me if this is obsessive behaviour or not. I've been on IF for a while now and it's been working quite well, yesterday I did the one meal fast only had about approximately 500 calories for supper. Today I'm back on 16/8. However this morning as I was packing lunch I decided to pack fat free plain yoghurt as a snack , I was scooping the yoghurt from the big container into my lunch tin and I "accidentally" licked the spoon. I have never ran so fast to the bathroom with a mouthful of yoghurt to spit it out and rinse my moith😩😫🤦🏾‍♀️

I can't tell you if it's healthy/obsessive or not, but I used to do the same thing. Now, I've just become more aware of things like that, I don't even taste food I'm prepping outside of my eating window. But I did read that as long as what you take in is less than 20 calories, there shouldn't teally be an insulin response, so you'd technically still be in a fasted state. Not sure how that works, but I do think it depends on what foods those calories are from (i.e no sugar?)

You are a thermodynamic system. As long as you use more energy than you take in you will lose weight.

With IF, you can consume 50 or calories or less in fasting state without pushing you in feasting state. a lick of yoghurt is less than 50....you are safe 🤗
