I am also there where I just don't lose anything. Maybe you are losing centimeters or your body is retaining water?

Hi Magdaleen87. What you are experiencing is a weight loss plateau. It's very frustrating, but CAN be overcome. There are many articles on the internet that you can read that can shed light on how to overcome this :)

Don’t despair! Initial weight loss is easier, and it gets harder to lose as you continue. Think of it as running a marathon, the initial speed of faster than your body later in the marathon. Also, our bodies are incredibly smart, so your body adapts to your eating pattern, even to your exercise pattern. It’s useful to sometimes confuse your body or keep it guessing. How? Change up the actual foods you eat / cycle through different eating styles (eg low carb bs med carb vs high carb) / add exercise / change up existing exercise routine / increase weights or workout duration etc etc. Remember, the journey to health and weight loss is a marathon, not a sprint. The initial weight loss keeps us motivated, but now you need to dig deep and this is where your commitment and resilience kicks in. This App and FS family helps us do just that, and gives support. Don’t give up! Also remember that there are other ways of monitoring health and weight loss achievements, like feeling stronger, clothes fitting better, sleeping better etc etc. don’t josh focus on the scale because weight fluctuates almost daily!!! You can do this 💪🏾🙌🏾

Don't give up! Just keep checking in. I have just come off of a plateau and it sux when you feel like you're not making progress, but it would have sucked way more if I said "screw it" and went out and put on a bunch of weight that I worked so hard to lose. I'd much rather plateau and stay where I am a while to give my body time to adapt, than go back to where I was four months ago.. Some people lose quickly others go slower... it's ok. Just remember to see it as an overall lifestyle change and not just a diet. You've got this!!!

Maybe implement an intermittant fast to break that plateau

Try reducing your calories by 500 and see what happens... it usually works for me

Nothing breaks through a plateau like fasting.

@Magdaleen87 it last for about 3 weeks. Not really sure how I broke it to be honest. But I did give myself a few days break and added about 300 or so calories a day (I stick to about 1300-1500 usually and IF16:8) so I just gave my body a little break and then jumped back into it after two or so days. I had been very strict for about 4 month's (except for a bad two week flu/pharyngitis stint a month or two ago) so I figured a few days break was what my body needed. Oh. I also stopped fasting on those days and had breakfast... I think what probably helped in the end was a change in my routine.

Mags, in my experience, which is only 8 and a half month worth: I have been through a couple of Plateau’s. At first like you i thought the solution was to cut the already low calorie consumption and i would see more result. Baaaaaap! Wrong, may first day or two or three, then the body goes into survival mode and starts storing fat as its wondering when the next fuel truck is arriving. What i found work for me is increasing my calories by 200 to 300 calories. Yes in the first week or so you gradually gain a bit, but then something happens inside the body and it triggers a loss cycle. My journey started at 1200 calories a day, I’m now on 1900 calories a day and still loosing. It natural to think eating less calories will trigger weight-loss, but just sometimes the opposite works better.

Yip. Mike's hit the nail on the head. I am in a similar situation. I cut my calories thinking I would loose more... Went down to 850 calories... I had to reboot and up my calories to over my required 2100 to almost 4000 calories for 2 weeks. Then reduce the the mora acceptable 1200 caloriea. I started loosing and am almost back to where I was when before the 4000 calories. The first kgs loose is always water weight. Stay the course. Eat decent calories.. Introduce light workouts... Maybe take a half n hour walk 2 or 3 time a week. The trick is to do all of this gradually and not like all at once. The body is resilient and will fight back once it knows what's going to b thrown at it.

@magdaleen87 what is being described is called reverse dieting. It's about resetting your metabolism to trigger more weight loss, in case you wanted to look it up :) many professional athletes do it
