Yesterday's late afternoon carnage..

Here I was suffering hectic period cramps all day. I'm exhausted, I am working in bed so that I can nap in between emails and reports and meetings.

I thought naively that this diet will lighten my period cramps. It had done wonders for the inflammation in my joints and my coccyx. I was looking forward to not having this day 1 torture.

So - I aimed to fast for the day and drink water and tea- and be all ketofab!

By noon I was so hungry I had 2 boiled eggs and a steak with a glass of milk. Tell myself- that's ok- good protein- lots of iron and calcium - good stuff for the uterus. So I didn't fast all day- I had a good 16-18 hours. That's good.

Until 3---- I wake up - because I passed out for about an hour hugging my pillows. I am craving sugar like mad. I have a headache - my mouth is dry- my uterus is eating it's way out of me. I walk downstairs to the corner shop and I buy all of the ice- cream.

Ate all of these in about 4 hours.
2 Eskimo Pies
2 Cola Ice Lolies
2 Eskimo Cream Milk Lollies (those square ones with no nutritional info on them)
1 Crunchie Ice Cream
1 Almond Magnum

Resulting in a series of sugar crashes- diarrhea and no relief to my cramps.

By about 9:30 last night I was hungry again - no energy to make food - but plenty to drive all the way to rocomamas and buy 250g ribs and 8 chicken wings.

And you know what - today I feel fantastic. My bloat/swollen belly has calmed her rage. Cramps are gone- as is the usual. I'm not hungry- just thirsty.
Waist down 0.5cm (84cm), Hips down 1cm (111cm).

I told myself to be honest about this because you cannot be scientific if you are not honest about the data you are trying to measure.

AS my reward for my honesty - I am not going to berate myself and do 2 sessions of yoga. (Make exercise the reward)
