Pleased with result so far this week still 3 days to go. Is there anyone out there doing keto/Banting who would like to team up for moral support and encouragement plus I have lots of recipes.
69.4 kg Lost so far: 18.9 kg.    Still to go: 5.4 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Might be late to the post. But I read somewhere you mentioned Keto & I was like "Yeay"; so I had to go through your profile & would love the Keto support as I'm fairly new to this. Only one in the household doing this and I am determined to get the weight of once and for all.

Helloooo, I'm aslo a Keto/Banter, but not very strict, although, I've decided to keep to keto/banting for the weekends of January as well... My biggest problem is loving the wine too much!!

HI Cas. The site with the most info that helped me better understand is www.ruledme.com . Also some great pics of success stories on there. My struggle is mostly getting recipes that don't take that long to prepare as I HATE cooking.. Leksie I am also struggling with that one (beer not wine though), my boss who is also doing keto still gets his glass of Sauvignon Blanc over the weekends, apparently low in carbs so you can even stay in ketosis if you behaved during the day ;-)

Sorry everyone not been on FS for a while so didn't realise people had replied. When I first started the keto diet it was difficult to give up the sugar and gradually I did but needed the cream for my coffee which I still have today. At first I struggled with getting the right macros and it takes time to work out which foods you should avoid. I now make my own keto bread, I buy shiratiki noodles and rice pearls for emergencies and no longer miss potatoes. I now love cauliflower rice or mash. I love pizza so make a keto one at least every other week but could have every week if I wanted to. All my old favourite recipes I have ketofied and I am part of the ketodietapp group where there are lots of food post and really good advice on following the keto lifestyle. Although I love cooking I don't like spending hours stood in the kitchen unless of course I'm prepping (once a week)for the week which I do quite often rather than cook every day when I have a busy week ahead. I am still working out how to use this app as it is better for setting your macros than myfittnesspal. This is a long post but if anyone needs recipies or help just shout I will always reply even if it's a few days later. Good luck everyone.

Path if you can please post your pizza base recipe that would be appreciated. I absolutely love pizza but i resist ever buying any because of the carbs.

Nice keto base recipe, 1/4 cup pork rind, 1/4 parmasen cheese,1 egg, 1tsp oregano. Mix and pour in oven proof skittle, bake for 5 min in a 180C oven. Put on favourite toppinga and bake until cheese melted.

2 tbsp almond flour 2 tbsp grated mozzarella 1 egg & pinch of herbs. mix & pour into small frying pan and cook flip & cook on other side and that's your base. Blend 150g tomatoes 20g basil 1or2 cloves of garlic 30g shallot 60g tomato puree 60ml EV olive oil salt & black pepper and that is your Marinara sauce to spread on top. Top with more mozzerall and toppings of choice. you can either bake in oven or put a lid on you frying pan and cook it until cheese melts. ENJOY.

forgot to add marinara sauce is enough for 4/6 pizzas and can be frozen.
