So far, so good. No negative side effects from zepbound. Significant decrease in appetite and thought of food already at this lowest dose. Feeling very good overall. Took late Thursday evening. Started levothyroxine, too. I swear there was a noticeable difference within 2 days of energy and feeling more normal all around. I was 243 at start. Just got tired of posting constant gains. Back to the gym when work allows and if work doesn't allow, at least I'm not spending my day snacking on 3000+ calories. Not feeling in the mood for any particular food makes it super easy to make healthy choices. This must be what people without food issues feel like.

I am considering Ozempic. I tried it last year, but when I increased the dose to .5 I was so sick as a dog and quit. This time will just go with the .25 dose, starting the 1st and see what happens. I now have a glucose monitor, so i can see what effect it has on blood sugars and well as any appetite decrease.

That’s great! Sounds like a good start. Make sure your doctor keeps checking the thyroid with the weight loss. The thyroid medication might need adjustment as you lose weight. In my case, it took a few months for the thyroid hormones to be normalized on a lower dose (the doctor cut it down too much initially then had to bring it up a notch).

girl that last sentence really makes so much sense to me, with Binge Eating Disorder, specifically when i was taking Vyvanse, which treats both ADHD and BED. i didnt obsess over food constantly, and it was totally easier to make more healthy choices. i lived my entire life with some type of disordered eating and was surprised that people without food issues are not obsessing over food/constantly snacking/tracking/dieting..etc. Im happy you are experiencing such a quick improvement and look forward to where this leads you!!

Thanks, guys. It's a game changer for sure. Even at my very best eating in a deficit-it was constant measuring and tracking and thinking about food. This removes the high from eating. It tastes good but I'm no longer whistling show tunes while making something to eat because I'm so excited to eat. That high is gone. I can't explain it. It's what I needed.

I've been on Levothyroxine for three years during which time my lashes, eyebrows & hair grew back and my energy level went back to GO! Another wonderful byproduct is that I'm not freezing while everyone else is sweating, Great stuff.

DP congrats. I do understand the food brain disorder. I also think about food far too often and obsessively. Deliberately staying away from actual sugar products has helped a little bit but not completely. It’s addict behavior only with food as opposed to chemicals or alcohol. Best i can tell anyway never having done chemicals nor ever been much of a drinker. Which is why i never understood why i obsess on food but know that drugs or alchohol are not healthy for me. Conundrum for sure. Anyway im so glad you are having this good experience.

Koko... I'm looking forward to that! Energy already seems better. Either that or it's a placebo effect.

That is wonderful! I am so happy you are having a positive start with all this! I'm battling with what I think is a low thyroid. I'm lethargic all the time, my hair is falling out like crazy, and I'm super moody. Going to Calif so next week I'll go get some blood work done. Also I can relate about food issues. I think about food all the time. I can be eating a meal and I'm already planning my next meal or snack. It's a constant battle. I'd love to not do that. 🩷
