Hubby decided to skip the Gym today. He started mowing on our property with the brush mower yesterday. It's hard work since the area he has to mow is hilly. He wanted to finish it today & said he was getting in a workout mowing. Since I had Book Club tonight & I had to prepare a dish to take, I decided to go tomorrow instead of today. I'm leaving Friday afternoon to drive down to my 2 youngest sisters with our other sister. So only 2 Gym days this week.

I'm glad I took today off, cause the potato skins I was taking for book club took a bit to prepare. Even if I had baked the potatoes last night, I would have been stressed out trying to get them done if I hadn't had plenty of time. They were a hit at Book Club 😊

The Holter Monitor was installed yesterday afternoon. Pretty straightforward....the nurse cleaned the area with a wipe, slapped it on my chest & I was good to go. Took about 5 minutes. Now I just have to push a button on it if I feel anything out of the ordinary & log what I'm doing. It's battery operated, but I don't have to do anything til I remove it in 7 days. So far nothing to report.

I've been drinking my water & plan to keep that up.

We had a good Book Club tonight. Shrimp, my Potato Skins & a Cream Cheese Dip for appetizers. Chili with all the fixins, 2 yummy salads & cornbread for the main course. No dessert tonight. I did have an Italian Ice when I got home.

Well, off to bed 🛌 📚 😴

I did that years ago after a terrible c section issue. made me so itchy. Hope there is something to report at some point just to be able to take a look and tell you you are OK.

I had a few incidents where I was feeling light headed & had heart palpitations @ the Gym during my workouts. Usually midway thru when I was doing my mat routine with stretches, leg lifts, some free weights, etc. I had already walked on the treadmill. I mentioned it at my Cardiologist appt. (routine) & my NP suggested wearing the monitor. I had just had an incident the day before. I have discovered though I probably wasn't drinking enough water before my workout. I was drinking coffee in the AM & water during the workout. I've started drinking water in the morning & have had 2 workouts with no problems.

Cont....Those workouts were before I got the monitor. I had 2 incidents almost 20 years ago with AFib & they shocked my heart back into rythym. I also have a slight heart defect (valve) discovered at that time. I take medication to help prevent an Afib incident. I see the Cardiologist twice a year & they monitor things. I have no activity restrictions & there have been no discernable changes to worry about. Anyway....other than the monitor being placed in a spot it can be visible if I wear open neck or v neck tops (my favorite style 🙄) it's not uncomfortable. I have to wear it a week.
