yes it's been almost 2and half years now since I have been around 315-320... Scale going down even though I didn't sleep well last night and I went to bed with a sick feeling in my stomach. This morning it's better but I still feel like I'm going to be sick...
But at least I am on the way down again I'm so happy to see the scale going down..I have some errands I have to go do today.. Just had breakfast and water and get ready for the shower and then I'll be headed out to do some errands and then I have to go grocery shopping probably wait until Sunday morning for that.I hate Walmart and that's the only grocery store around me and it's about a 10min drive to the next city to get there .We live in a small rural town and no grocery store and 1dr office and few gas station and a pizza place and new restaurant that just opened up and then Dollar general.

Wow Sara, great drop! Your city sounds huge compared to mine! We have one caution light, two gas station/convenient store combos, one also becomes a bar at night, a post office, a private school and a huge chicken plant.....and that is all. We have to drive for 20-30 minutes in any direction to reach a larger town that has grocery stores, Dr's offices and hardware stores. But it's quiet, peaceful and generally pleasant to live here 😊

Wow. Good for you, Sara. During the time that it took me to lose two pounds, you lost 20. Keep up the good work!

Nice drop, Sara. I live in a rural area too. It takes me about 10 minutes to get to the nearest convience store...lol...but I wouldn't trade it for the world! I hate Wal-Mart also. I'd nearly rather run through hell with gasoline drawls on. 😆 I will literally stop at 2-3 different stores to avoid it.

Aldi has the fastest cashiers, zoom! I've worked those scanners before, they must have super-powers! We have one 40 miles away, I go there sometimes when I have time to burn. Nearest Kroger is 55 miles away, so I usually get stuck with Food Lion which is 18 miles away. They still have cashiers, baggers AND carry-out, the way a grocery store is supposed to. Whatever happened to Customer service being important to a store????? Back when I worked in a grocery store, if there were more than 3 customers per line, the Store managers came out and started checking and bagging till the rush was over.

The haggen store in my neighborhood did a 10 MILLION dollar renovation right before covid hit. Back then they had cashiers waiting with their hands behind their back and plenty of them. This haggen is more of a high end and specialty items easily found type of store so one would expect at least 3 cashiers for such a big store. Nope. They generally have 2 and all the self serve lanes open. We started shopping at winnco. Cut our grocery bill down by nearly 30% and plenty of cashiers!!! Only downside is they wont take credit card but thats fine.

I ordered a t-shirt that says "I don't do Self-checkout" hoping it will make supervisors trying to get me out of the cashier line and over to the self checkouts not approach me at all. Because when they do and I have to open my mouth....they get a rant about customer service and their lack of it. I worked for 10 years in a checkout line and I was paid for every minute of it. I'll be damned if I will go back to doing it for free!!! Sorry we hijacked your post Sara!!!!

You are fine Debra I love reading the comments, I don't like self checkout either because I feel like it's their way of taking jobs away from ppl who need them and then if it was like it was growing up always had cashier's you get your food bagged and even help you with taking it to your vehicle if needed but most stores try to act like it's a convenient thing to help others not have to wait in line. Which is so wrong even at our Walmart self checkout always has a line of ppl and filled up also ppl who use it takes their time so therefore it goes slower than just going through a cashier. And then don't forget to scan and item on mistake Bec they will try to arrest you for theft. They don't pay me to be a cashier and bag my items so I will always use cashier especially if I have alot to buy.

I got triggered by these posts yesterday so I went to FB and did a rant about forced using of self checkouts. If we stop spending our money at these mega stores that are forcing us to use self checkout it will send a message. Right now they don't care because they are using the customers as free labor and laughing all the way to the bank!!

Self checkouts are great if you are in a hurry and only have a few items...they are a convenience but deliberately eliminating manned registers and forcing people to do it is wrong.....we should have a choice.

I agree with you Debra, it's ok for a few items but then to force everyone to use sco is craziness and I am not one who will just do their job because they want to cut back on employee and hurt ppl who need jobs . It's one reason I hate Walmart.

https://time.com/6307359/government-ftc-walmart-prices/ This article about Walmart and how they have driven out regular, smaller grocery stores and have increased prices across the board. Interesting read. Time Magazine. Good work on your weight loss! 💪 💐

22again, thanks for that link! It simply adds to the sheer image of self serving evil that Mega-chains are dishing out to us the consumer. I like the title "Who am I hurting by shopping at Walmart" Excellent info, I assumed they got lower prices by moving larger volumes. I did not know that suppliers are required by law to sell the same product at the same price if it costs the same amount to serve each company. It's basically a monopoly law that has not been enforced.....good to know!
