Had to go get some grocery yesterday and proudly glanced at but ignored the junk aisles. Wanted to get some low-carb tortillas and they had moved them - get this - exactly across from the ice cream sandwiches I have been living on the past couple of months. It was like a test. I didn't go into the store with intention to get them. But right across from an item on my list? UGH! I passed! So it is official. I'm back on my first step of any diet I have ever been on. No junk! It doesn't come into the house. No. Junk.

Will power can only take you so far. Keeping the junk out of the house is critical. Never grocery shop when you are hungry. Eat a full meal before.

It's all about will power for me. The ability to ignore the bad stuff in the grocery store, and keeping it out of the house. The ability to order a salad when eating out when I really want the grilled hot dog and fries.

That’s a nice victory! Keep training that instinct to avoid the junk like a muscle: it will get stronger! One day you will amaze yourself when you pass by the bad stuff in the store and then realize you were not even slightly tempted by it—or even didn’t notice it as you look for the stuff on your list!

I hate it when junk sneaks into my home and then hides out and whispers my name.😵
