Started my journey in January 2019 @193 lbs. Not sure what my highest was. 200 Jan 2016 before I put the scale away for 2 years. 183 in Jan 2018, put the scale away again until Jan 2019. Very bad on a 5' frame. 95-110 BMI goal makes me laugh. I associate that range with Jr High/High School. Hubby says I was 118 when we got married, I was early 20s. Began ballooning late 20s. Last time I dieted was around 2015.

Wasn't on a particular diet for months starting out. I took my time, didn't rush. It was months just to quit the 3-4/day cokes (Cherry Pepsi, Dr Pepper) plus almost nightly junk - candy, cookies, donuts, cake. Plus lots of chips daily. So if we had Chinese (RICE), spaghetti, burgers, hot dogs, mexican I wasn't bothered because we have always been fairly good and just doing meat 'n veggie. Very little to low activity.

Eventually we worked our way into low carb. I hesitate to call it Keto because we didn't work the macros, we just had very infrequent carbs. Meat 'n veggie was the theme, didn't worry about carrots, tomatoe, small potatos in our stew. Lately we have moved closer to carnivore on the days we aren't backsliding/maintaining on Popeyes special date night at the drive through, hamburgers with buns here and there, sometimes Chinese or Mexican.

I put some of the weight back on since around October last year primarily because for who knows what reason, I began overeating. Keto or not, it adds up when you have too much and the old 64 yr old body can't process. Then I finally gave in and had pecan pie. That set the tone of remembering all the after dinner goodies for so many years. I think I was just tired of feeling deprived. And no, 'Keto' treats just don't cut it. I'm going to be bad, I'm not fooling around with it.

Sorry for the wall of text. Wishing everyone best of luck on their journey. Keep fighting! Because that is really what it is. I'd like to stop calling it a 'journey'. Good luck and hang in there with your BATTLE!:)
