WOAH 🙀 upper body weight lifting yesterday. I was able to do 15 reps bench press with 45lbs. I havent attempted anything over 30lbs in over a year...I was keeping myself in a safe bubble to prevent reinjuring myself, and I popped that fuckin bubble. I'm done holding myself back, even from the guilt trips of fiancee: "idk if you should do that..." Me "Why?" Keep in mind it's the same weights he uses for bench stuff too... MEASUREMENTS: Lost .25in on chest, .75in on hips. Each thigh is 26.5! Gained .25 on arms.
85.2 kg Lost so far: 13.2 kg.    Still to go: 0 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
Losing 4.4 kg a Week

You go, girl!!! 👏 💪 🙌 Could it possibly be that your fiancé has an ego that doesn't want to be hurt? 🤔 Personally, if I can do more than 12 reps, I up the weight. 🤷‍♀️

Morticia, RPL- thanks! Zenus- I definitely am going to up the weight next time. One of those things I started laughing cuz I was surprised how easy it was to do! He stood there and watched towards the end. Idk..it's possible it's an ego thing... He works out with me because it's what I love to do. Anything I say(even if I present it in the calmest, gentlest way I can possibly do) he still takes it as unconstructive criticism....like, homie I've been exercising/weightlifting/boxing/MMA since 2009...I know what I'm talking about. It's my passion...even if I had learned the wrong thing at one point, if I learn something new, I get a thrill from learning it. I do not believe, for one second, all I know is all there is to know. That's part of παθος (pathos) =passion.

Wait, your fiancé is benching 45lbs? Or, are you saying 45lbs in each hand? Either way, he shouldn't be holding you back. Maybe try to push him more to up his intensity?

45lbs- 5lb bar, with 2-15# and 2- 5#s. we just moved our bench from downstairs to upstairs so it was our 2nd time using bench again since my back/knee injury. I know he shouldn't hold me back, yet I've allowed it... I believe I've been subjected to emotional neglect so I'm working on that with my therapist now.

Dazey, you are doing well! Chest is my weakest muscle group. I bench press the bar, (doing 3 sets of 10 reps,) which at my gym is 45 lbs and occasionally I can add 20 lbs but I max out at 5 reps then. Sounds like bf may be a bit intimidated by your success...
